I stopped at a thirft shop today to see if I could find a hand grinder.
Instead I found a brand new, in the box electric grinder......Bought it for 20 bucks!!! This is an older model, I mean back to the 60' or70's (before the cheap crap)

I couldn't wait to start grinding a pork butt and try my hand at sausage making. I gotta say both worked great (BURP). Especially on a homemade Biscuit!!

So now I have about 3 more lbs of sausage in the fridge and 10lbs of bacon curing. Life is good.

I found a slicer there also. Looked new as well, she wanted 40 for it but I bet I can get here to come down.

I told my FIL about it and he told me to wait, that he was looking for a commercial one we could use. I knew I liked him for some reason.

Sweet score!!!!

Did the grinder come with stuffer nozzles? I'm gonna have to get a new one pretty soon as mine is getting real old. I want to get one with 4 grinder plates (only 2 on this one) and a plate to go with the stuffer tubes.

I always check out the thrift Shops. These folks that look through this stuff. Very often don't even realize what they have in there hands. And how many of us would pay a lot more than 2 bucks for it. Nice score indeed.
