I had a itch for smoked tri-tip so I scratched it. This was injected and marinaded in Fab B and EVOO and then seasoned with Plowboys Brisket rub and fresh cracked pepper. The smoke used was hickory. Delicious!

Very interesting that you decided to use Fab B for a home cook.

Looks great though. Tri-Tip is very flavorful and moist.

Just trying different things. My experience with Fab indicates that it has the greatest impact on sliced meat. I've heard it's because the sodium phosphate causes the meat to retain more of it's juices.

In the case of this tri-tip, the Fab really thickened the juices...to the point where it was more like gravy than au jous when slicing. The final product was very delicious.

All that being said, I won't use Fab on tri-tip regularly because it really doesn't need it. As you said, tri-tip is naturally flavorful and juicy.:-D

Wish we could get tri tip around here.

Never seen it, unless they call it something else, which is always possible..

That looks delicious!!
