...was my response when Mrs ~t~ called from Sams Club. I guess I was not thinking, because she showed up with 3 packages which totaled 21 pounds. Bone-in breasts, thighs and drumsticks.

I started the BDS and have 20 drumsticks in two racks on the bottom grate and 15 thighs on the upper grate. I'll do the breasts in the next round.

It's Dizzy Dust, Rocky's Chicken Rub and black pepper.

Here is the bottom grate and the drumsticks which are cookin' under those thighs. Each were 7 pound packages so this first cook is 14 pounds worth. The breasts are another 7 pounds, so I'll cook them later over the same coals.

Good lookin' yardbird.

Mrs. thirdeye shops like me. Stopped into the store after work today for some $2.00 pork loin and left with about 60 pounds of pork, beef, and chicken.

Yeah, and also for lunches and dinners when we don't feel like cookin'. Some will get vac sealed and goes to my MIL's. She really likes barbecued chicken.

Good lookin' yardbird.

Yeah, she keeps me guessing sometimes. Don't know what I'd do without her.

It's waiting in the beer fridge for vac sealing. We had some oriental for dinner. I'm hoping to go fishing tomorrow so some will find it's way into my lunch box.

Here are some of the "after" pictures. I was really pleased.

Look's great.........temp and wood?

Thighs and legs averaged 215°, but never above 225°. They cooked just over 2 hours. Breasts were cooked at 225° - 240°, and cooked for 1 hour 15 minutes. The wood was cherry.

Looks good. We had Chicken salad tonight made from some leftover smoked yardbird I did the other day. Good stuff tossed in with some chopped granny smiths and walnuts!
