Smoked pot roast with rutabaga, turnip, onion, purple potatoes, crimini mushrooms, choice chuck roast and red wine, with a bouquet garni with thyme, basile, bay and long peppercorns.

I seared the veggies and roast, then put it all in the smoker with the lid off to get some smoke, then lid on to finish.

Rick, there's nothing all that exotic here, other than the wild boar bacon... which is pretty darn good. I've always cooked this kind of stuff, but just lately started taking photos of it.

I did this grilled lobster over 18 months ago.

Sounds and looks absolutley fantastic Curt!! Question... never heard of "Long Peppercorns". I am aware of many different varieties, but have never heard the term "LONG" one's.

This is from thenibble.com. The long peppers are from Bali. There's a lot more depth of flavor than from tellicherry peppercorns.
