The wife picked these up yesterday at Foodland...Western cut ribs....not really sure what they are but, they cooked up nice and were very tasty!

I did sauce them up some as the family likes....it was the Williams Spicy pear Sauce.

Don't blame that on us. Never seen anything like that out here.

Some of the smaller pieces look like the could have been "country style" ribs, but those larger pieces just look like the butcher had a bad day. But they do look good.

Yup - looks like country style ribs to me --- even with a bad cut, still awful good eats.
country style ribs....basically a butt cut up into strips...

Yup - looks like country style ribs to me --- even with a bad cut, still awful good eats.Normaly I would agree but, some of these things looked like tiny racks of ribs....some had the bone lengthwise, some others had the bone crosswise......I guess it was a bad day for the butcher:rolleyes:

How big of a cut were they? I estamate 1 to 2 in. They also look mighty tasty!

jpw, if they tastes great....then it was a perfect cook of a perfect piece of meat. Glad it was good. Sure looks good!

My dad always said what didnt come out in one cut came out in another. They look ok to me

Maybe they called them that because someone got western with a carving knife. :biggrin:
They look like some country (shoulder) ribs and some bone-in loin pieces to me. I get some good deals on the value packs of neck bones and pork steaks. What did the wife pay per pound?
