Well I've had a day full of firsts. Smoked my first fatty this morning, and have my first baby backs and butt on the new bandera now. This site rocks I've gotten so much info off here already, I'd really have no idea how to Que at all (not that I do) if it were not for you guys.

Trying to insert pictures but can't get it to work... I need some help.

You can find the answer to almost any Que question you have on this board. If you can't find it just ask and someone will answer or point you in the right direction. I love these forms.

Ahhh the first time, always memorable. I hope you are having fun while you are at it.

Not only can you learn alot about Q, you can learn how to post pictures here http://www.bbq-brethren.com/forum/showthread.php?t=19770&highlight=posting+pictures

First resize them using this thread as a guide http://www.bbq-brethren.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10474 it helps save space.

Good luck and I look forward to seeing your pictures.

Sammiches for tomorrow

It all turned out pretty good for the first time. My boys ate it all right up.
I did have a little trouble keeping the temp up. I used a combination of kingsford and lump with some pecan and cherry chunks. I think it was just a matter of me not keeping the fire large enough.

Congratulations. Good going. And your assistant pit master is helping clean up! Perfect. Keep smokin' and keep posting. It helps all of us to hear about other people's cooks.......otherwise we'd get stuck in a rut.

Sure some fine looking food there. The butt really looks good. Did you have it tied when you smoked it? Congrats on the new smoker!

Nice looking grub, and congrats on the first smoke! There is no turning back now. Once you get used to the low-and-slow taste, grilling steaks and what not will be a thing of the past (except when you are pushed for time).

Great looking food. The problem with this site is I would have to quit my job to do all the food items here on this forum. I feel like a kid in a candy store. I want to do it all.... oh yea and not gain weight.:icon_cool

Thanks Dr Ky for the assist with the pictures. Had the pulled pork sammiches for dinner tonight, I may be a little bias but I'd have to say it was the best I'd ever eaten. The wife actually agreed!

It all looks good. But you are in trouble now. That fattie will have you hooked on them. I make a least 1 a week after the 1st one. I have standing orders for them from family members when ever I cook.
