New Year's Eve I was actually not working so I lit the Weber for the first time. Only had it a couple of weeks, picked it up just before Christmas for the (UK) bargain price of £26. Anyhoo, did some cedar plank salmon, which I'm won't put on here 'cos they were onyl tiny pieces and look an bit pathetic:icon_blush: Came out tasting fabulous so Mrs B was impressed. I'd soaked the plank overnight in water, had the salmon in a ziploc in the fridge in some Italian white and basted it while cooking in a mix of EVOO, brown sugar, lemon juice, salt and black pepper.
Had a go at ABTs, the only variation being I used very mild yellow peppers as (a) I was testing the concept, (b) Mrs B doesn't like too hot a pepper and, most important (c) they were all I had in when I decided to do them! They were well received by she and me, next time I will get hold of some Jalapenos and use more salt & pepper during construction.
Here's some pics:

The chimney does the biz. These things are such a good idea, I wish I'd bought one years ago!

Those two lone sausages found their way into my version of.....

.... BBQ beans. Baked beans, brown sugar, chilli powder, salt & pepper, plus two sliced Lincolnshire pork sausages. Next time I'll probably add less sugar and some mustard. The way I see it I'm experimenting, and my volunteer crash test dummy, Mrs B, liked these a lot and has asked for a repeat:-D.
Finally, the sliced ABT, ready for Mrs B to try.
