"This isn't the right sauce for everyone, but for someone out there, this is going to be absolute heaven. Of course, for a handful of people, it's going to be hell," he said.

...somehow I think it will be hell even for chili-heads, but some people may actually enjoy it! Not sure I would call it heaven though.

By now the lining of my colon would beat asbestos at its own game!

I'm learning all kinds of new carp today. What is red savina? Where's it come from? If the Brethren won't touch it, what good is it?

Ahhh, grasshoppah, go here: http://www.vjiculinary.com/scoville_chart.htm, find the hottest pepper you've had, then scroll clear to the bottom of the chart to find the subject pepper.

Waitaminute.. I thought habanero was king of the hill until the secret about that one pepper from India got out?

Edit: Ah, I see that red savina (according to Wikipedia) is a hotter version of the habanero...

On a sober note, has anyone tried this marinade for wings?

Alas, it is true, the Red Savina Habanero is indeed no longer the worlds hottest pepper. But it is still VERY FREAKING HOT!!!!!

The new one, certified by the Guiness Book of World Records, is the Bhut Jolokia pepper. It is over 1,000,000 scovilles!!!:shock::shock:

I haven't seen one yet. Search YouTube. There are fun videos of people trying them, like these.

I like it about as hot as anyone, but that is just crazy. Heat without flavor is bad. I met my match with Dave's Insanity Sauce.

Skippy!

That's right.
Our esteemed murderer of squirrels is most correct again.
Skippy peanut butter is one of many good things to ingest to help assuage the heat of ingesting too many scovilles for your palate.

LOL

A banana is the best thing I've found, to date, to get that chili oil out of my mouth when I've had too much.
