was the shrimp over cooked? I'd have thought to get the bacon crispy the shrimp would be like petrified. Scott

Bacon wasn't crispy and the shrimp wasn't overcooked.

A trick I saw on Good Eats is to put your bacon in the microwave (or I guess you could put it on the grill) for just enough time to begin to render the fat. Bacon should just be soft, but not beginning to fry. Then wrap your shrimp or whatever. Bacon and shrimp get done at the same time.

From a little specialty kitchen store called Cockrell's General Store. They come in a set of four and are stainless. Really nice.
