Everybody sing!

Rib Eye Roast, can you smell it,
On the Egg, snow is glistening
A beautiful sight,
We're hungry tonight.
Cookin' in a winter wonderland.

Goin' on next is some taters,
In a pan with some garlic
A little rosemary,
a dash of sherry,
Cookin' in a winter wonderland.

In the meadow we can build a snowman,
Then pretend that he is Big Poobah

He'll say: Are you cookin?
We'll say: Yeah Phil,
But you can rub my meat
When you're in town.

Later on, we'll perspire,
As we drink by the fire
To face unafraid,
The food that we've made,
Cookin' in a winter wonderland.

In the meadow we can build a snowman,
And pretend that he's Doc BBQ
We'll cook lots of meat with the Doctor,
Until his arm candy comes around.

When it snows, ain't it thrilling,
Though your nose gets a chilling
We'll saute and grill, the Big Egg way,
cookin' in a winter wonderland.

This musical interlude has been brought to you by Jack Frost and my BGE...

Oh yeah... I almost forgot. I'm Cooking our New Year's Day Ribeye Roast on the Egg. I'm also going to do some garlic-rosemary roasted redskins.

Don't breathe the fumes from those peppers. I made that mistake and went into a coughing fit that lasted a few minutes.

Happy New year to you, too, Kevin.

Nice lookin' roast Ron. What's the rub?

Thanks. I really wanted an aged Hereford roast like the one I cooked a couple of weeks ago but all I could get was Angus . I splurged since my folks are here for a couple of days. The rub is Montreal Steak Seasoning.

Prime rib, red skins with garlic and rosemary and butternut squash raviloi with a parmesan cream sauce that my wife made.

We also had some spinach dip in a sour dough bread bowl for appetizers.

Fantastic! Makes me wish we had done that instead of the pork loin roast.

That looks awesome.

Its almost bedtime and now I'm hungry again...I think I'm going to have another bowl of Chili... Ron, thanks, that looks great! Is that everday "run of the mill" Montreal steak seasoning?

Yep. Well... It's really Canadian Steak Seasoning, the knock off from Sam's Club. It's my favorite rub for beef roasts and brisket.

This looks like a new song for the "Memphis BBQ Sessions" to me! Maybe a BBQ Brethern Christmas album next year??? We could start with Rudolph the Red-nosed reindeer, made some very tasty Q...

Excellent looking grub there Cap!

We did a prime rib at Christmas, yesterday the family asked for burgers, so all I had to do was run out to the kettle during timeouts...

Happy New Year farkers!
