I use Smoky Hale's brisket rub, cut with 8 Oz of dried, powdered mushrooms. Coat, wrap and chill overnight. Smoke, then blast it in a screamin' hot oven to crust up. Some horseradish sauce, some hot, crusty bread to sop up the plate and a beer. Nuttin' else...
CaptBill's prime rib paste is also excellent. Alton Brown did one on his show also (I think). Don't worry about the flower pot...

bbqbull gave you the method I prefer. Some of the best beef I've ever tasted.

Go with BBQ Bull's recommendation.
I felt gyped when I had Poobah's prime rib. I was really pissed that I had paid good money for prime rib thru the years and none came close to the Poobah's recipe.

Just got an email with this link in it for grill-roasted prime rib and twice-cooked poatoes with wasabi. I'll definitely have to give that a try!!

Hey smokewatcher, how do the poas walk around after you cut off their toes:biggrin:? On a serious note, Poobahs recipe will be the one I use for sure.
