Hey Farkers...my boss gave me a bottle of "Carolina Cupboard" BBQ Sauce today...has anyone used this? The instructions say it's excellent for grilling, marinating, baking, and broiling. Guess I'm fishin' for suggestions...:-P

Hey JD - I'm guessing it's a vinegar based sauce (correct me if I'm wrong) so go throw on a pork butt and test it out!

Never had it before but I'm intrigued. What does the ingredients list say? Vinegar and a little catsup? hehehe

Definately looks like the vinegar and ketchup sauce they use in the western part of the state. It's used mostly on pulled pork, but they slather it on other stuff also. One example is they pour it on coleslaw instead of using mayo.

The label clearly shows "eastern style", but it looks like it has tomato in it. I always thought Eastern style didn't have tomatoes in it and that tomato was the distinction between Eastern and Western Carolina sauces.

I did a search for the brand name and found the following:

It looks similar to the Piedmont-style sauce I make, except theirs looks thicker.

How is it?
