Hoity Toity ribs.

My wife wanted me to try these ribs from a recipe she got at work from the head chef. I call these Foo Foo ribs, made for the execs.

Ancho Chile, cumin, Paprika as rub.

Smoke ribs for 6 hours and then glaze with Jalepeno honey glaze.

Had to add all these ingrediants and puree to make the glaze and then simmer down to a syrup. man it took forever for it to get syrupy. Well anything for the wife. They weren't bad. Her friends and her liked them.

I think I will stick to the BBQ sauce.

Thanks guys. Actually I might make them again. Maybe at the next Bretheren So Cal Bash. Not sure they would win at a comp. They have a bite to them. Little afterburn but not much. Not sure the judges would appreciate it though. I would have to knockdown some of the Jap.

Then what good would they be.:-D

They sure look good. Some of my best ribs (in my opinion) happened when I added a little too much cayenne to my rub. The extra heat went surprisingly well with the sweetness of the glaze and the rib meat...

Can you post the glaze recipe, or is it a trade secret?

Before I post it let me make sure I don't get my wife in trouble. Since it came from the her works head chef. It might be something that they use in catering.

Won't be back on the forum until Monday. Smokin in the Park comp this weekend.

Looks & sounds good. I am sure none of the Brethren would admit where the recipe was pirated.
