Hey Guys,

As promised I took some snapshots of my very first brisket which I smoked on my new pit. It was a 13 Pounder that feed 7 1/2 people (I have a nephew who is almost 1 who enjoyed it as well) with 5 pounds left over for sandwiches. Smoked it for 10 -10 1/2 hours with Pecan and aged Oak. Came out beautiful and delicious.

Incase you haven't taken a look at my Pit:

*Repainted the pit a second time for a more thicker, even coat. I have yet to upload these pics...but will do so.

Looking good there, I've been wanting some brisket lately. Toasted roll with spicy mustard... oh man. Gotta wait until Sunday :).

Well, this was the first brisket which I manned by myself. I grew up watching my dad smoke briskets, ribs and lots of chicken.

So in a technical way, this was not my first brisket...but then again..technically this was my first! LOL :-D

Looks good. Wish I had 5 pounds of left over brisket.
