OK Brothers,
You know me weather I need it or not if I see it I take it as a personal challenge to see if I can make it. Is this worth while?

I don't know that you even really need a stone for the grill. When I do Pizza on the grill, I just place the rolled dough on the grill, turn it once, flip it, leae it for a little bit to start cooking the other side, take it back inside and top it, then back out to the grill to finish the bake. Keep the lid closed and after a few mintues, when the cheese has melted, pretty much everything else is good to go. I use precooked items on the pizza so you don't have to wait for the meat to cook.

9. Low cost. (under $250 grill not included)

That better be WAY BELOW $250. I would think $50 would be about right.

With the right set-up (like Tom's rig for the BGE I mentioned to you) that looks possible. I wonder if a disposable round pizza pan would work as the top reflector.

A guy named Old Dave uses a pizza stone a couple inches above chicken toward the end of his cook to crisp the skin.

Those stones look a little thin to me. I've also cracked a stone in my gasser and I would not recommend using "Super Stone" brand sold at LNT or BB&B.

I second that notion . . . what is it that these photos have to do with pizza stones??

Ah! So! The classic mistake of stones vs. gnomes . . .

now I understand . . .

Keep in mind bro, the fact that it will be a speciality item, and the cost. I'm not paying more unless it out-does the usual. I want bragging rights to what comes off the grill.

The stones in that photo looks prett skinny, too. If the bottom stone sits on top of a steel plate for a heat buffer, might it keep it from cracking?

I think you should bag the pizza maker and concentrate on much bigger projects, I think this is an ideal start!

Those things are double walled with a vacuum insulation space in between. Inside tank is probably not as big as you would think.

How thick should a stone be for high heat? We've got 3 at the house and my wife doesn't want me to use any of them over a fire.

We've got 2 Pampered Chefs that are fairly thin, and 1 large thicker one that was a wedding present. If I remember correctly we left the thicker stone in our oven all the time on the bottom shelf even if we weren't doing pizza. Someone told us to leave it in there for thermal mass and to distribute the heat. We did that until we moved. Our new stove is convection so we've never left it in there.

Looks like an interesting concept, I love pizza, I saw this on another
forum, here's a video of the guy who makes them making a pizza.

I can't afford it, but it looks like it really works
well.

a bunch of people on PizzaMaking.com have ordered this new pizza machine last week, and couple of 'em were getting it delivered today.

Seems like a nice invention. It looks really promising.

Anyone ordering one here ?

How was temp control?

I called you at about 6 last nite(6 beers), but you were already asleep. Temp control was easy!
However, I found that when you leave the lid off for too long of periods of time, fire begins to rage in there.
Givin her a paint job and bottle opener today.
