So here in the UK we don't actualy 'smoke' much, but I thought I would like to give it a go......Looking at the various designs most are way over the top (size wise) for anything I would use (have you seen our weather).

Anyway what I came up with is a Baby Double Barrel based on comments made here and on the 'how to build a DB' site.

Any comments please?
Also is the DB the right way.

Thanks.
John.

I don't have any personal experience, but I've been told that they are fuel hogs and have very uneven temps. And if you stand too close, you may burn your knees or "other parts." :icon_blush:

Why not just go with a off-set. Should be relatively simple to build with the addition of some flat plate. scott

It's hard to tell from the last picture, how wide will the cooking area be when completed. Will it be big enough?

What about just getting one of these? Their made in the UK

There have been multiple threads on this forum about this product. Mostly good stuff. There is a current thread running now.

No need to offset the firebox if you create a baffle inside the cooking chamber to help disburse the heat/smoke.
