Epic disappointment. It was over cooked for us and it was way too salty. I used a course sea salt and pepper and garlic on the steak and it was way too much, especially with the chimi (which might of been too salty also). Not sure what ineas thinking, but sometimes you hit a home run and sometimes you strike out:). Think it will be ok On sandwiches tomorrow though:)

Oh man sorry for the double whammy. Too salty and too done, two things you just can't fix.

Bummer, are you sure you didn't confuse the salt in the chimichuri? In a 2-cup batch there is no more than a teaspoon of salt.... did you use a tablespoon?

Add some bread to offset the salt and you’ll be golden for sandwiches tomorrow.

I hate to hear that. It really looked good, just sorry you were disappointed.

Damn. Was a fitting title, because it did look like a home run. Like you said, a good tri tip sammy should be good.

Welp, sure looked like a solid plan all the way thru. Thanks for sharing the "L" to keep it real!

This might of been part of the reason I went too heavy

Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose! Will finish him off with some toasted bread to suck up some salt and move on!:). I suppose one never stops learning:)

Some toasted wheat bread with butter for a sandwich fixed it all up this morning! As David spade said to his son in Grown ups 2 “they can’t all be 10’s son”. That seems to fit my cook last night!
