Asmoke AS300 pellet grill/smoker from an Indiegogo campaign. Ordered in July and it finally arrived during the week.

I assembled it (legs and handle) did a mod from the Asmoke owners FB group to add a switch to disconnect the igniter for when running on a battery pack or small inverter, and to add a manual pellet feed button, along with an acrylic side panel, and then did the initial burn in.

Once that was done I did my traditional first cook, a naked fatty (a breakfast sausage log, unwrapped and smoked, in case your are new :-D). It cooked at 250 until it hit 170 internal temp, about 3 hours.

So far, the Asmoke is a pretty impressive little grill!

I have had mine for a few months now and it's a fun little rascal to play around with. No problems with the one I got, never tried the Asmoke pellets that came with it though. I actually use it more than I thought I would.

You can get the Pit Boss version of this grill for $100 less. It seems that all of these tabletop pellet jokers are made by the same factory in the overseas. When the Asmoke ad was first posted on here I made fun of it. I actually really like it though.

You know.. since I seen this thread its been on my mind! What is the cooking surface of that thing? What in the world do you cook on that??!!! Think it would fit a rack of ribs? obviously cut down... Worse thing is.. I just don't know what I would cook on it. When I cook I tend to load my cookers up.

Edit: Your pictures its hard to tell... but after doing some research on this thing.. Holy crap it has a good bit of cooking surface. I just seen someone doing a pork butt on one.

I’ve read enough bad comments about the Asmoke pellets that I didn’t even open the bag. I used Cookinpellets.com perfect blend.

When I got in on Indiegogo it was around $120. I couldn’t pass it up!

The grate is roughly 13.25 x 14.5. A trimmed rack of rib should fit. I saw one guy on Facebook do an Spatchcocked 11 lb Turkey on his. It was full!

These video's will give you some idea of what the grill is capable of.

That looks great and cool little grill. What’s the intent on the change to the acrylic panel though?

I wanted to add the switches for the igniter and manual feed, so I would have had to drill holes in the stock metal panel, which would have required buying some tools. The guy who made the switch wiring harnesses also made the acrylic panel, pre-drilled, and it was less than the price of the tools :-D

Plus, it looks cool :becky:

It did look cool! But I suspected that wasn't the only goal. You can't beat easier and cheaper.
