I know this has been touched on here and there before but I cannot seem to find a concise answer on whether this is possible. I have a 14 pound turkey that just came off, cooked to 130 then into foil pan and wrapped to 170. I have a trip to the in-laws and the usual sit around chit chat for a while before eating, so all in all, turkey off at 1030 am and eating around 4pm.
Thinking I’ll put in in the Yeti. Is this going to work out? Other better methods? Do I vent the foil? I don’t want to screw this up!! Willing to sacrifice the skin if inevitable.LOL

That’s a long hold. Kiss crispy skin goodbye, but you could try and crisp is back up under the broiler a bit before you serve.

I’d put a pan of boiling water in the cooler. Close it. Leave it there for half an hour. Double or triple wrap in foil, wrap in a towel fresh out of the dryer and then into the pre-heated cooler.
