has anybody had any success with any if the kabob baskets on the market?

Kabobs on a typical skewer are a pita soley because everything spins on them. Try shrimp or scallops and it is a nightmare.

Open to suggestions.

I have a mb 1050. Looking to either retro my previous rotissier or buy theirs. Was thinking more on the line of individual baskets, however, when you dig into the reviews on most of them they are sketchy at best.

Open to suggestions. TWO skewers inserted in the shrimp or even chicken is the answer.

I have a pair about 2X2X15 with a hinged top and just love the way they work. Got tired of onions and mushrooms just tearing and falling off.

The answer is wide, flat skewers. Food won't spin on them. I have a set of the commercial Super Skewers: http://superskewer.com/commercial-super-skewer

Edit: Holy crap have their prices gone insane. I think I paid $35 for a set of 8 21". But you get the idea - something similar.

i have some similar to this. once the food shrinks, i.e. scallops, i still have issues with spin.

I have the baskets...but it has been years since I used them..remember them not being very effective. I went back to fighting with the skewers...have the double ones and that helps. Also I skewer everything separate...veggies...beef...shrimp. I do the veggies first...then the beef...then shrimp.
