Trial run with my new Spirit

I caved and got one of the Weber Spirit II E-210s that Ace had on sale for $299. With rain looming and a tri-tip in the fridge, this was my opportunity for a trial run. I used a pellet tube with oak pellets to add some smoke. Really happy with the results. The Spirit gets HOT. I measured 605 at the grate with my IR, so that was good enough to do the searing, then moved it over on the other grate for indirect and smoke. It won’t replace my PK, but for quick cooks, it’s a great small grill.

I've had my Spirit 320 for over 12 years now. You can pass this one down to the kids. Quick and EZ. Many ways to smoke on it too. Congratulations!

Looks great to me, I will always keep a gasser in my lineup and prefer my Weber also.
