View Full Version : Can you smoke, bread, fry chicken wangs?

Or maybe bread and then smoke and then fry?

Basically looking to cook up some breaded wings that are finished in the fryer, but with some smoke flavor.

Thinking naked wings in the pellet pooper for an hour at 180, bread, then fry to done or bread like they are going straight to the fryer, but do the above one hour in the smoker first.

Thoughts?

Totally agree with your plan.
Id wet brine, then season, then smoke for a bit. Cool, dredge in seasoned flour with baking soda, then fry in oil, OR through on hot grill
