But it usually involves hot sauce. American Goulash for Two.
1# Lean ground beef
Half cup good Italian Elbows (save pasta water)
1/2 can fire roasted tomatoes
1 small can tomato sauce
1 Tablespoon Trader Joe Coffee BBQ Rub
1 Tablespoon Fiesta Fajita Rub
(Use pasta water to adjust thickness)
Top with Parmesan and Favorite Hot Sauce (optional)

Being born and raised Polish, what is American Goulash?
Am I blind, or is there no Paprika in your recipe?
I am not going to even get into the differences of Polish Paprika, and the American versions.

I used to flyfish with the Captain of the Ireland National Flyfishing team. I fixed this one New Mexico winter trip. He scoffed at me for calling this Goulash-as he ate a half gallon. Agree, European and American Goulashes differ. Goes great with Free Guinness after a day on the water.
