Someone on here buys pellets 1000 pounds at a time and has them dropped shipped to them.

Anyone know who that was or where to buy like that?

Will the thousand pound pellet buyer please stand up

I’ve used them before. Purchased a 1/8 ton, transaction was smooth. Much cheaper than you can buy locally.

Bought a ton from them couple years ago. Getting another ton this spring.

As a new pellet grill owner, how are you guys storing your bulk pellets? I’m afraid to buy too many since they would be stored in a uninsulated shed or garage. Both areas are dry as far as leaks, but here in the southeast with 70%+ humidity much of the year I’m not sure how long they store.

Never had a problem with charcoal in the same places but I imagine sawdust is a little more sensitive.

While Ive yet to buy 1000 pounds to store but I’ve bought several bags at once and have seen no problem with humidity in a sealed bag. Actually I’ve seen no problem with humidity in an opened bag or the pellets left in the hopper either.

They seem expensive. I can get 20 lbs bags of lumber jack pellets for $7 locally

That is dirt cheap. That’s cheaper per lb than I could get 1000lbs delivered to me.

Atwoods has them on sale all the time for that price.

Well that answers that, I was wondering if buying 1000 pounds I could get them cheaper than $6.99 a bag...

I agree. Get them at Atwood’s all day long at that price and save on the shipping. They just had MHC for $6.99. If I didn’t already have 150 lbs I would have bought some more.

Hello all,

I've been getting my pellets from bbqpelletsonline.com now for the past 3 years now and that's the only way to buy them. On the average a 40lb bag is $9.00/bag and 20lb bag is $6.00/bag.

As far as the shipping, we get them drop shipped to a local trucking outfit which really cuts the cost down.

You just need to order a ton to place an order, which isn't a problem. It really is a painless experience and the people at bbqpelletsonline.com are really nice to deal with.

Definately a return customer here!

They will also split orders up if there is enough interest in a group buy so one person doesn’t have to buy the entire 1,000 lbs. They split the invoice up too so each person just pays for their portion online and picks up the pellets at a shipping terminal (everyone in the group buy has to meet at the same time).
