I'm about to pull the trigger on one of these 2. The HB is about double the PK...Both have free shipping and a few extras thrown in.

PK has free shipping, free tru-tel thermo, and free cover for $379

HB has 20% off everything + free shipping

What say my brothers? Who has these and can comment on them. Will be used 90% grilling and 10% smoking...I have a Rectec Stampede as well...thanks

I'm debating between the both as well. I'm leaning toward PK. Of course, that thought could flip tomorrow. There's something about the portability, and availability of Grill Grates that makes me want to do the PK.

No direct experience with either. The ability to adjust the charcoal grate on the HB seems to add materially to the flexibility. The PK is a great cooker from everything I've read but it doesn't seem to provide much improvement over the (cheaper) kettle.

Ultimately, for me I don't find the PK overly attractive given I already have a kettle. I tend to get hung up deciding between the HB and the even more expensive M1

The ranger is super portable. Adjustable firebox makes an amazing versatile cooked and they sell the grill grates for them as well.

I just pulled the trigger on a HB Legacy , like my PK but I've been wanting to try something different

I have a PK 360 and while I like it if I had to do it all over again I would have gone with a Weber 22" or 26" kettle. As far as the Grill Grates I personally am not impressed however it's probably a user issue. The PK grills are a bit of pain to clean the ash out IMO due to all the nooks and crannies.

I don't think you will regret the purchase. I have had my PKGO for a few weeks and I love it. Use it multiple times per week

I agree with BillN. I bought a PK360 and regret it now. A Weber can do as well or better.

I may sell my stainless legacy soon and get a gourmet. Or sell everything and get a 357 on scratch and dent.

On the powder coat keep it clean and dry and it’ll last decades. If you let it get rained on with all that ash you will have issues. I love mine though.

I have immediate regret that I didn’t buy the stainless with the 20% off

Call them and ask for sandy tomorrow morning ASAP. I bet she will be willing to work with you as long as it hasn’t shipped.

I've owned several grills and smokers, but the PKTX I bought last month is my favorite by far. I only wish I would have gotten the 360 now.
