Was cooking a reverse sear, 2.5" ribeye last night, needed a sear and because of wind and rain, I couldn't use the appropriate fixed cookers in the yard.
Managed to get it done, but sure would have been nice to have a way to sear it off other than caveman style. But, hmm, a chimney makes a good searer!
Had a few pieces of scrap steel laying around and made a stand for my Smokey Joe Santa Maria that I can place over the Weber 7429 charcoal starter. Now I can raise and lower as needed, maybe make a cooker out of it?
Plus, I can use it for my discada in a pinch.

Nice!! I can see many uses out of that and it's portable being small.
