We had been looking at ring doorbells, and so we bought one of those. $69 with a free echo dot seemed like a good deal.

It reacts so slowly that the delivery person is usually out of picture before it captures anything. It also does not work well if pointed out towards our driveway if it's really bright out. We get video of a white blur. Works well if someone pushes the button though or hangs around long enough.

Yes it is. Hopefully mine works a little better, but if not at least I didn't spend $100? Now I have a bit of buyer's remorse.

Ever since I heard the stories about employees eavesdropping on conversations with those things, it really solidified my decision that I don't want one. I will turn my own lights on and off.

I don't have an echo device, but love my google speaker. I ask it the weather, or to play music, or set timers, alarms or do quick math for me, all the time. If someone is listening in on me, they really need something better to do.

Looks like a lot of the Lodge Cast Iron is on sale too. They've got the 17" I've been eyeing for a while on sale for $55 or so, and a lot of the smaller skillets as well.

Add me to the list that bought these. I looked at a pair of bbq gloves that were 20 yesterday but didnt really want to spend that. This is more what I wanted to spend.
Also, ThermoPro has a promo code (primeday2019) that is supposed to get 20% off anything in their store. I havent given it a shot but thought others might be interested.

If you get one, please post your opinions on it. I have looked at them for years, but the cheaper ones seems too small, and the larger ones are too expensive. I really think a person would be better off setting up a 2' x 4' grow tent, but the curiosity is there.
