I posted back in September, ish that I had the opportunity to pick up a XL for more than half off.

I fought off the urge, but I obviously lost the battle, lol.

New in the box.

Very nice! I think most of us would have a hard time fighting off the temptation to purchase a super nice grill at more than half off :-)

I don’t see a stand for it… safe to assume you’ll be building or buying a table? Just curious.

Most likely I'll be making one. Unless I find a half off deal for the stand, but I'm not holding my breath.

Congrats and enjoy. You made a great choice. I would recommend getting some d-plates and extra racks. A grill grate grabber is very handy too.

Of all the extras the grill grate grabber is the one I would miss the most.

Ya, I need to get some accessories. Mainly going to be used low-n-slow.

Awesome deal!

I also got my Primo Jr. for a crazy deal almost a decade ago. I've done a lot of cooks on that ceramic and planning my low and slow cooks using the Primo for the 4th weekend as we speak.

D plates are a must. And you'll love the versatility of the oval, split rack design. Feel proud supporting a fine, Made in USA product.

Great cookers at any price.

Wow, its like looking at baby pictures of my now 5 year old grill. They look so cute when they are clean and the gaskets are new.

You need to get the deflector plates for sure to do low n' slow. I'd also recommend the extender racks, really ups the capacity. I also have the digiQ, firebox diverter and cast iron grates (grates not worth the $).

Enjoy

Congrats...I love my Primo XL, very versatile. Diffuser plates are a must for low and slow IMO.
