Thanks for the link. Interesting read. I will say that the lumberjack does impart more smoke flavor that the trager and pit boss pellets I have been using. Chris

I have noticed the 100% blends produce more ash but I can’t really speak on the smoke flavor being greater. The only thing I’ve really noticed is that fruit woods produce less smoke flavor than hickory, oak, pecan but that is no surprise.

Great read!

That being said I’ll stick with the lumberjack comp blend, it’s approved of on everything around here!

Have you tried the 100% versions and the blend versions of any of the 4 options Lumberjack has to compare (hickory, apple, mesquite, and pecan)? That seems like it would be a fun thing to try.
