Hello All ! Jeff the newbie on the block. First post jitters ...LoL. I am building a cold smoker out of a 12" x 6' long copper water tank, should be pretty polished up. My question is which brand and model variable speed air pump does Smoke Daddy use? There are quite a few different ones out there. The smoke generator I am building out of 3" box tubing, and will be used on a 275 gallon pig cooker as well. Thanks for letting me join in the fun! Much to learn I do. Jeff

I've built several of my "Smoke-Pak" smoke infusers several years ago.

I used the Hagen A807 pump, not sure if it's available now though.

That's perfect ! Thank You !

If the A807 isn't available, I suggest buying an equivalent with max air flow and a rheostat so you can dial it up or down

Oh, and BTW, I've used this for more than cold smoking. I've used this in my Caja China style box cooker and my BGE to inject more smoke into the chamber during a cook.

I would say it could help a pellet pooper as well.

I have experimented with wood chips only, pellets only, and a combination blend. Mine smokes all day long with pellets with little or no tendering needed. It does need a little tendering with straight chips. Works pretty good with the pellet and chip blend.

Great info, I am a Pro Woodworker , plenty of Red Oak sawdust. But will use mostly pellets. Thanks !
