Ham leftover so it was time to make a great sandwich. Our take on a Cuban sandwich.

Make a loaf of bread.

Took out some of the leftover smoked ham.

Slap it into the sandwich press with mustard, pickles and swiss cheese.

Serve with a side of tater tots.

Looks delicious! Gotta admire the dedication of anyone whose step #1 is "Make a loaf of bread".


I made something similar last week- had some thinly sliced frozen Kassler Rippchen(sp?) german style brined and smoked pork loin. Threw it on a store bought chibatta roll with a slice of cheese and nuked it for a minute. Topped it with homemade pickles, spicy brown mustard and fresh baby spinach.



Came out so good I had to make myself another one.
