Did a tomahawk for Christmas Eve that took a bit to long. So I needed to start with a bigger fire to get more burning embers. I also decided to use the lid of my Weber GA to trap the heat and smoke around the meat.

Had a 1kg top round roast, used Oakridge Comp beef and pork. During the cook, I tossed some pellets on the embers to get some smoke flavor. Misses did some veggies and taters in the oven. Served it all with some homemade chili jam. Roast was done in a little over an hour and was great.

Dessert was homemade raspberry-lemoncello semifredo.

Looks great! I don't think that would work with my gas logs.

Awesome job! I would love to learn how to cook in a fireplace, but all mine are gas.
