Found some beef ribs in the sell by bin. Seasoned overnight with SPOG in fridge.

The Plan

7 hours Sous Vide at 149*
10 minutes InstaPot
Grand Finale
Pellet Cooker at 225 till I like the way they look

SV-IP-Pellet

Heads are hurting

Sous vide is a great way to cook beef ribs. Melt in your mouth.

I wonder if they'll hold together enough to put on the smoker? I might have smoked them first...

Tuned into this...I actually have some beef ribs in the fridge right now. I planned to do half on my Primo and save the other half for later. I too have a sous vide and Instant Pot :thumb:

I might smoke them first too- and then continue until done :grin:

Sous Vide seems to be French for "Wait- and wait some more"

(I'm usually hungry now - or shortly after now)

Still looking forward to seeing the results.

Is the SV step necessary in there or just a few more minutes in the IP? Just seems the IP would cancel the SV

I honestly don’t know. Kind of MSU as I go. Like Life. Most Sous Vide recipe I read went out up to 48 hours. I want these today-not Sunday.
Meanwhile here’s a breakfast photo.

One nice thing about MSU is you can alter plans and they appear intentional.

The ribs have a good layer of fat on the bone side. Hoping that keeps them together. I’ll check integrity when I remove from SV.

I agree. Smoke first. Enjoy beer while doing so. Have one too many beers and forget about sous vide. Eat smoked ribs.

Came back from urban hike. Not peaceful at all. Sirens running people honking loud mufflers. City life. Amen

By passing IP. Grabbed a beer, punched the start button on the pellet cooker. Now need to make some command decisions on sides. Stuffed portobello and Brussels sprouts leading
