Used a Chef Tom recipe last year and it was so good I used it again this year. Honestly, the best turkeys I’ve ever had

Still about an hour to go (or more precisely 30 degrees to 165). Ambient temp made it to 18 here today but the Goldens' did quite well.

Plated with homemade cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, turnip, dressing and from Chef John/foodwishes.com twice baked sweet potatoes. Outstanding, love that guy's recipes.

Some fancy wording Marty. But Zacky has better birds IMO than Foster (who bought time some time back) so I always get Zacky when I can get my hands on it. Some local grocery stores get them out here and I grabbed it from down the street.
Welp,
About that time to start :becky:

Two bone-in breasts that took longer than anticipated to finish (grabbed a pic of the second before carving). Guests were happy with the tri tip while waiting for the turkeys to finish.

Our annual selfie. Nobody realized we forgot to unfoil the turkey platters, until well after the pictures. We had 4 people that couldn't make it this year, so a smaller group than we are used to.

Also a 6# bone in pork roast. That with the turkey gravy was actually my favorite :hungry:
My brother did the turkey on the charbroil big easy that I had given him. Turned out pretty good :thumb:
