5 minutes from my in-laws.

These aren’t very common out here, so I was surprised to see one sitting on OfferUp for almost a week.

Some quick negotiation and it was in the back of my father-in-law’s pickup.

Chimney, charcoal bin, and a stainless grill topper included...all for $90. It is in excellent shape!

There is a house I drive by on a regular basis. They have a grill that looks just like that in their backyard. I wonder if it's a PK? Looks to be a old grill and doesn't seem like they use it much. I assume this is an older company and has been making these grills for a while?

Bob

Might need to stop by and inquire about it!

Check it out! PK Grills have been made since 1952! They went out of business in the mid 80's I think, and then the intellectual property was bought and production started again a few years ago.

They are cast aluminum, so more than likely it will be in good shape. You may need new grates and some elbow grease, but it would be a great grill!

I nabbed a Char-broil that looks similar a couple years ago. You'll love cooking on that!

Thanks everyone. I had actually never seen a PK in person, but have heard how good they were from a few people.

I am really surprised by the excellent build quality of this thing. Very stout and solid. My father-in-law commented on how light in weight it was.

After some deliberation, I have committed this PK to live at the family cabin and replace the resident Weber SJ that usually sees action there. I think that will also give me a little more incentive to:

1) go up there more often, and

2) cook outside more frequently while there.
