View Full Version : butt, fatties and a new paint job

1st smoke on the drum after repainting it Metallic Blue, especially since bigmista said it looked more silver than blue. However it still had that streaky paint job. oh well.

I did 2 fatties and a butt, which is still goin. the fatty on the left is a "hot sausage" and the one on the right is andoillie. I preferred the andoullie fattie.

oh yeah did alton browns Gyro recipe on the weber rotis yesterday but surprise surprise surprise, no leftovers hence no pics.

I like the color. A good tip on painting something like that is turning it upside down on some blocks and set your weed burner under the open end. Let the drum warm up, turn off the flame and paint away. The warm metal will set the paint quicker.

Are you going to nickname it Ol' Blue or anything?

actually its a chimney cap or fireplace cap or something like that.I also drilled a 2nd hole in it to put an S hook so I can hang tongs etc.
