I ordered a PK Grill which will be here tomorrow. I'm 6'3" and know the stand is short. Does anyone have a PK Classic that they have modified the stand on? or any modifications for that matter?

I think there may be a couple of folks who have added height, Frank. Use the Google search near the bottom on the page and you may find them. It just searches this forum.

Other things that seem to be common are adding Grill Grates and adding a thermometer.

If you are on Facebook you may also want to check out the PK Grill Fanatics FB group.

Yeah, the GrillGrates are awesome. I guess I will pull trigger on a TelTru too.

I added a Teltru, not the PK one but one that I bought direct from Teltru. Aside from that I dont see a need for any further modifications.

Also, that new TX model is supposed to have a taller stand.

I saw the TX, but the stand looked kind of cheap....it is probably well made though. I have never seen one in person

Neither have I. Im only 5 9 so the height of the Classic is something I can deal with. I like the look of the original stand better as well.

I think I'm going to build a stand out of wood and keep my original stand in case I cook somewhere else
