I would be more worried about your blackstone rusting. I bought a 36" blackstone a year ago, and its been kept dry in our garage. I cleaned and wiped it with veg oil last time we used it, and its full of rust .

I asked the guy at the Japanese place (in the mall) what heís using for his scraper and he told me to get this:

Nemco (55825) Easy Grill Scraper
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0065MBGUA/

Itís pretty awesome and does what a putty knife canít do.

:thumb:This. I bought a similar one at Restaurant Depot for around $15. Works great.

Sounds like it may not be well enough seasoned...and not enough use. With regular use and seasoning that blackstone should never rust.

If it does...scrape off the rust...reason...and cook some bacon...bacon fixes everything!
