Brethren - I come to you guys as I view you guys as THE BEST online resource for all things surrounding food.

I need an oatmeal chocolate chip cookie bar recipe. Not a super gooey one, just a knock it out of the park bar that I can start taking to different events ie. t-ball games, work etc. Growing up this was a staple from a friends mom who ran a catering business but she still to this day protects her recipe.

This one is good but has peanut butter. I know that can be a problem nowadays.

I've used this recipe: https://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/alton-brown/the-oatiest-oatmeal-cookies-ever-recipe-1922287. Seems to me you could substitute chocolate chips for raisins. These are not chewy. I don't know how they would do as bars. Might be too crumbly to cut. I'd try to cut them before they cool.
