View Full Version : Baby back ribs, first attempt

Overall they were great, bones pulled right out. I used the 3-2-1 method. 3 hours smoked, wrap in foil and glaze for 2 hours and 1 hour out of foil with sauce/glaze. A hair dry on 1 of the 3 racks but excellent flavor overall!

I had 3 different runs, weber original rub on 1, weber kc bbq rub on another and Carolina style Rub Some Butt seasoning on the 3rd

For the glaze i did a ketchup, maple syrup, mustard, vinegar and pepper mixture. Was very very good

Funny enough they were from walmart. Thry had a bunch of them that were like half price so I bought 3. Wish I woupd of bought more now!

Well I'll be! I like baby back ribs for the tenderness of the meat, but I've never been able to find any as meaty as those appear to be. That's why I haven't smoked them for awhile; too much work for the amount of net meat to eat. I'm gonna have to take another look at Walmart as a meat source, I guess! Thanks!

I dont remember the exact brand but it was one of the "all natural" brands. I dont normally buy that but for half.price coulldnt pass it up lol
