I had quite a bit a meat in the fridge, that didn't get cooked this weekend, so I thought I would clean it out, and eat well all week. Started with a putting a couple of ribeye steaks on the Yoder at 225. Seasoned with BPS Double secret steak seasoning.

Meanwhile I started a chimney of charcoal, and seasoned some wings with a mix of Little Louie's seasoned garlic salt, and a generous amount of Cuckoo Racha seasoning. This is my new favorite wing seasoning. No need for a sauce even.

Pulled the steaks off the smoker, at an IT of 120, and seared on the vortex.

Had one of these for dinner.

Pulled the wings, and threw on some Brats. Battery was low on the phone, so the flash wasn't working.

I absolutely love the vortex. Makes quick/easy work of just about anything. Good even heat, with no flipping or moving food around.

Thanks for looking.

Thanks, the steak was definitely the bell of the ball, of course, isn't it always.

Keeping my fridge clean is a juggling act. I like to keep some stuff thawed, with the best on intentions. Then I get busy, and it ends up building up on me. I hate throwing out food, so I end up cooking it all at once. Keeps me from eating out. Hard to stop for fast food, when you know you have good home cooked food at home.

That’s what I’m talking about. Great use of the vortex as well.

Oh yeah!! How the hell did I miss this?

The marbling on the ribeyes is wagyu like.

:-D That is a very high compliment, considering those are from a steer, I raised myself. It's been awhile, but I believe he was a little over 1700lbs at butcher.

I love the vortex. It has been flawless in the cooks I have done with it. I want to try to use it on a low and slow cook next, just to see how it performs.

Thatís what Iím talking about. Great use of the vortex as well.
