ok, OK! Let me get this straight! You live in the Mecca O' sausage and buy Johnsonville? I drive 1200 miles round trip to pick up a load of brats to bring home! JV is about all we can get around here. I've been to Germany and these are as close as I've seen.

I can get GW in the grocer 2 miles away. There is other fresh sausage I prefer more. But Iíve never had Boudin or seen it in any stores around here and Iíve only had Conecuh once.

I still like a good JV too!

Never had Boudin? Do yourself a favor, and remedy that.

I tried them early last year and bought several packs through the season. Great sausage, and thanks for the reminder since I'll be grocery shopping today after work.

We are going to take care of that boudin situation on June 30th :thumb:

You headed to Billy's, or Don's? Maybe Johnson's, or some good homemade? I love me some boudin. :thumb:

I bought 2 packs yesterday and threw one on my gasser when I got home from work. They are good, but not hot enough to be called "Firecracker" in my opinion. I think for the next pack, I will smoke them and serve with hot giardiniera and a homemade habenero and mustard sauce.

Iíve been looking for them since I first saw their ad a few months ago but no luck in the stores Iíve checked. Memorial weekend I attended a party and the host had a grill full of them. When they got done I had a couple and they were great just like all JV sausages. They had a little bite but not an over powering heat. Even though Iím now making my own brats I would buy some Firecrackers if I saw them in the store.

I didn't get any heat from them, but I like stuff hot, so maybe just immune. They have a different flavor and texture than the regular brats. I think I prefer the regular brats myself.

I like them too. As previously mentioned not as hot as I would like but overall a good flavor.

Took the leftovers, sliced them, added onions and peppers and threw them on the Blackstone.

I have tried them, they are ok, not that spicy. Their Irish O' garlic is 10x better in flavor.

I also agree with its lack of heat. My hot is probably on a much higher scale than most but I remember being disappointed last year with them being tame on taste. Maybe I was expecting more with a name of "Firecracker". I think there more like a sparkler than a firecracker. Still a descent brat though
