Anyone see this yet? They’ve ditched the western brand for more B B. Slightly smaller bags for 14.99. Apple, Maple, and Cherry. I picked up a Maple and Cherry. I’m looking forward to comparing the two.

Look up https://www.doitbest.com and see if there is a participating hardware store near you. You order online and pick-up your order in just a couple days at that hardware store, No shipping fees, it arrives with their weekly stocking order.

I buy these when my local farmer's supply of apple, peach, and plum become depleted.

Apple, Cherry, Hickory, Mesquite, and Pecan. They also sell chips and pellets for cold smoking.

Coincidentally, our local Publix grocery stores have all switched from Western to another brand of chunks. I got a deal on some bags that were marked down, but from what I have seen, the Western was much better quality than the new stuff.

Good tip... free shipping is sweet. I usually keep some kiln hickory and mesquite around to pepper in with my local oak and fruit woods... have used western prior (get shipped to local cabellas and go fetch; they are 1.5 cu ft). Just ordered some b&b after seeing this. 1.25 cu ft for hardwoods and 1 cu fit for fruitwoods all 14.99 with free shipping. Will report back once I have a sense of it vs western...

I talked to a guy at Academy and he said B&B bought Western so now everything they get is coming from them, but essentially it's the same wood. Although I don't remember Western having cherry wood. I bought hickory, cherry, and post oak from my local academy and it has all been consistently better than the western wood so maybe they have switched to new suppliers.

So that explains the Walmart fire sale of the Western lump?
