Anyone know who was the first to build a reverse flow was it Lang

My brother in law had one 25 years ago.... I did not know that is what it was called.... he had a guy build it that worked in the mines.... I used it a lot .... I cooked 102 butts on it at one time for a church function.... I liked the cooker but it had some flaws.... about 8 years ago I told Tyler we should build a cooker .... knowing the flaws it had we went from there..
We built it..... tweaked things.... and kept experimenting.... hence Shirley fab started....for all I know the guy that built my brother in laws could have came up
With it...it was setup as a reverse flow......Lang could have started the 1st official business selling them.... but it appears to me the design has been around for years..... maybe that welder in the mines invented it...... I have no clue
