Is the Bandera suitable to burn splits? They are on for $299 and I am tempted. Just want to know that it will do what I want it to.

The Bandera is how this forum got its start. Go read the Bandera 101 Document, it's the fourth "sticky" down on the Q-Talk forum page 1. The original name for this forum was the Bandera Brethren.

My bandera was primarily a ztick buner, but used lump to help it burn clean. I start with a chimney of lump and then add beer can size splits..... add some more lump whenever you start to loose the coalbed.
