I marinated/rubbed some rump steak with a homemade Indonesian spice mix, lime juice and fish sauce.
I also had some red onion lying around
It all got skewered.

Very nice. I have a sword set for the grill and looking forward to trying them out over the firepit.

Thanks all!
That little braai thingy is actually meant for potjies (sort of a South African dutch oven).
I quite often use it when cooking for one or two. It's a nice size.
I use angle iron to put the skewers on. Works better than a grid in my opinion. No sticking, cleaning etc.
The sauce started of as an attempt to make a coriander sauce that I had in Thailand:
Garlic, fresh red chilis and fresh coriander (cilantro for most of you) pounded in a pestle and mortar. Then adjusted to taste with fish sauce and lime juice.
It worked out well as it was, but because the meat was also quite heavily spiced, I diluted the coriander sauce with a bit of yoghurt.
The combo worked very well and will be repeated :-D
