I would like to normalize and speed the drying of firewood for my stick burner. I have my wood outside and covered but during winter everything is humid and moist.
I was thinking about buying a 55 gallon drum with a removable cover and painting it black. I figure that sitting outside in sun for a few weeks should really dry the wood. I assume some small vents will allow the water to evaporate.
Has anyone done this? Does it work?
Thanks,
Chris
