I got a hold of a 14 lb standing rib roast. 8 bones. Cut it in half. Will use the roast for Sammie’s tomorrow but tonight some fat steaks. Was absolutely great. Rubbed with Oakridge Carne Crosta with a little oak wood smoke. Enlisted the vortex for the sear filled with some mesquite lump. Topped with some roasted pablano peppers fresh from the garden. Wonderful. Cooked on the new Weber performer.

I would rather have the steaks, than the standing roast. Can't get enough of that wonderful crust. Beautiful steaks, and a garden in February, so jealous.

Yes sir. As your gardens die off in the winter ours here usually have a hard time with the summer heat. Cooks everything.

Great job - I like the choice of Beverage also!

Just did the bone out version for the gang at work and they loved it.

You folks sure ate well!

Love the Vortex for cooking steaks, and it's tough to astray with Carne Crosta on 'em!
