View Full Version : Where the Best BBQ Is Made

Thereís no place like home. The meat selection, meat prep, pit selection, fuel selection, the blend of coals and wood, the beverage of choice, the music the meal. If you want it smoked-grilled or both, youíre in control. Thereís no place like home.

I love to smoke, but prefer the taste of grilled.

BBQ- heat + meat = happiness

Yes, please!

You make an exception and pinch a piece of that after 1400? I would!

No sir, I cooked it last Sunday. I did go walk 2 miles today. I’m still cold. Single digit wind chills and shorts :-))

I’ve zero interest in the Olympics. It’s a great time to stream BBQ YouTube videos. BBQ for me is like golf- a lifelong learning process. Truth be known I don’t really want to say- I’ve got it down perfect. Because if I did, I’d move on to something else. And I don’t want to do that. So many ways to trim a brisket. Or not trim at all. Pretty much watched brisket and rib videos tonight. Interesting one was trim every piece of visible fat on entire point area and leave a quarter inch only on the flat. I’ve never that I recall injected a brisket, I’ve never cooked just the flat(I’ve cooked just point but prefer to cube or chop the whole brisket and mix)
Lots of miles to cover in the BBQ world.

I just don’t want to do the same thing twice.

I’m kind of hungry for ribs and chicken thighs.

Amen, brother, people ask me for recipes,Sorry man/woman/ child, there are none.I am moved by what inspires me.I have no need or want to be a YouTube star.I cook what I feel, whenI feel it and NEVER want to duplicate a cook. Always searching for the "Grail",but when I find it,"IT" will change.

I just donít want to do the same thing twice.

Unless someone asks me to.

At home of course. I'd go to any restaurant as long as it's not grill. Except for one I'm usually disappointed. That said when I travel abroad I always sample grill places.

And the meat looks fantastic.
