Gathered the ingredients, toasted the cumin, put everything in the Instant Pot and let it roll for 30 minutes. Picked out the meat, used the immersion blender, added the pork back in, and enjoyed it. Next time I will add a few more jalapeņos as this recipe was very mild.

It was very tasty and will definitely make it again. 154616

Why does the forum software always rotate photos posted from a mobile device?

That looks tasty, nice feed.
BTW
I bought one of them pots last year when it was all the rage on here.
Guess I should try and use it.

Makes perfect soft or hard boiled eggs, awesome rice, etc.

Just made that in my pressure cooker and it was excellent. I used serranos and left the seeds vein in and had plenty of heat.

When you take your pics take them with the phone turned side ways. Same when taking videos.

Also the food looks fabulous.

Nothing like roasted cumin. My wife is from Trinidad & turned me on to roasted geera vs. green geera. The taste is phenomenal. We keep a bunch of it because that's all she uses.

Love Chile Verde...and ironically, the wife mentioned an Instapot the other day (we recently lost our rice cooker to an unfortunate accident).

Food looks great!

My son married a Canadian woman whose parents emigrated there from Trinidad. Will have to ask her about geera.

You can not beat coca cola short ribs. There is a recipe that is a bit spicy, but is good just the way it is. I have sinced tweaked it, its less spicy, and i do 1/2 cola, 1/2 beef stock, ans 1/2 cup of marsala wine. After its done, you reduce the sauce in the pot, and serve the short rib over top of home made mashed potatoes (you can use instant pot for those in advance).

It does not get much better then this.

Just look up coca cola pressure cooker short ribs. You can thank me later.

Only a few close friends know I like green chile.
Nice IP cook.

I've made that recipe in a dutch oven a few times and found it advantageous to roast all the veggies first or pop em under the broiler. This may defeat the purpose of using the IP...kinda like when a crockpot recipe says to sear the meat first.

Love it, just had that Monday. One of our favorites for years.

Geera is just the Indian name for Cumin. Roasted, like yours, it takes on a whole new flavor. Love it.
